TORONTO , March 8, 2022 /CNW/ - Bank of Montreal (TSX: BMO ) (NYSE: BMO ) (or the "Bank") today announced the offering of CAD $750 million of non-viability contingent capital ("NVCC") Additional Tier 1 (AT1) Limited Recourse Capital Notes, Series 2 (the "LRCNs"). The LRCNs will bear interest at a rate of 5.625 per cent annually, payable semi-annually, for the initial period ending May 26, 2027 . Thereafter, the interest rate on the LRCNs will reset every five years at a rate equal to the prevailing 5-year Government of Canada Yield plus 4.03 per cent. The LRCNs will mature on May 26, 2082 . (TSX: MEG ) "MEG" or the "Corporation") announces today that the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX") has approved the Corporation commencing a normal course issuer bid (the "Bid"). Pursuant to the Bid, MEG will purchase for cancellation, from time to time, as it considers advisable, up to a maximum of 27,242,211 common shares of the Corporation.
