We tried a 4-day workweek for 6 months. Here’s what we had to do to make it work and why we landed on something different. 2023/03/07 09:39:29 Business Insider Nederlands
Jo Burns-Russell''s agency joined one of the largest four-day-workweek trials for six months. During the pilot, it went from 40 hours a week over five days to 32 over four days. Burns-Russell shared how it worked — and why the agency opted for a 35-hour flexible week. This as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Jo Burns-Russell, the 41-year-old founder of the creative agency Amplitude, from Northampton, England. It has been edited for length and clarity. I founded Amplitude in 2008 after I was made redundant from my job in events planning. It''s a creative agency that delivers animation and film photography, graphic design, copywriting, and branding for clients. We''ve got a mix of clients — including Unilever, The Body Shop, and Avon. Now we''ve got 12 staff members, including project managers, creative directors, and graphic designers. Before the trial, we had a 40-hour 5-day workweek We had a little flexibility around starting times. People could work from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.

7 High-Growth Stocks for ESG-Oriented Investors 2023/03/05 16:19:39 InvestorPlace
Generally, a perception exists that supporting environmental, social, and governance ( ESG ) initiatives may lead to expansion and profitability erosion, though the enthusiasm toward the following high-growth ESG stocks would beg to differ. Increasingly, society has become aware of gross inequities in the sociological and environmental realms. Therefore, it might cost enterprises to ignore ESG initiatives altogether. Some of this narrative comes down to pure math and lifecycle realities. As various research firms pointed out, younger generations consistently hold more liberal views than their preceding generations. Further, the age cohort that staunchly supports conservative views eventually expires, to use clinical language. Thus, the rise and eventual dominance of progressivism bolsters high-growth ESG stocks. Increasingly, then, those that insist on going against increasingly mainstream views may suffer fiscal consequences. Plus, it’s never wrong to do the right thing. With that in mind, below are the high-growth ESG stocks to consider for ethics-oriented investors.
Top Food Brands Virtue Signal ''Healthy Diets'' While Cashing In On Junk Food 2023/03/05 12:35:00 Zero Hedge
Top Food Brands Virtue Signal ''Healthy Diets'' While Cashing In On Junk Food A new study commissioned by the World Action on Salt, Sugar & Health (WASSH) revealed a startling fact: "Four of the world''s biggest food manufacturers are over-reliant on the sales of unhealthy food despite each claiming to be active in improving the healthfulness of their products." WASSH assessed 2,346 products sold by global food and drink companies Danone, Kellogg''s, Kraft Heinz, Nestlé, and Unilever in their three largest markets -- Australia, France, and Mexico. It ranked the products based on commonly used standards such as Health Star Rating, Nutri-Score, and Warning Labels. With the exception of Danone, all other companies had a higher percentage of sales from unhealthy food. "Danone was the only manufacturer with a greater share of healthier products available in each of the three countries. The remaining four manufacturers performed poorly across all three markets, with more than half of their surveyed food and drink portfolio below a standard definition of ''healthy,''" WASSH wrote.
