6 Low-Tech Stocks With Good Yields and Buybacks  2022/07/05 17:00:51 InvestorPlace
These low-tech stocks have good yields and strong stock buyback programs. These features can help provide good returns to investors by providing a buffer on the downside and acting as a catalyst on the upside. Many of these kinds of stocks are in cyclical industries like manufacturing, mining, farming and construction. The point is, these stocks all now reflect the huge possibility of a recession. The Federal Reserve is g0ing to keep tightening until inflation abates. They seem intent on slowing down the economy. But these stocks already priced in a huge portion of that bad news. That makes this an ideal time to begin accumulating a position using a dollar-cost averaging method. You should use dollar-cost averaging because you can’t always be sure you are buying at the bottom. Moreover, these companies all pay dividends to their shareholders. Therefore, investors can be patient until the underlying value of the company’s fundamentals emerges. In addition, buyback programs help the companies soak up weak sellers’ shares and provide a higher dividend per share for the same cost.
6 High-Tech Dividend Stocks to Buy and Hold  2022/06/27 15:43:45 InvestorPlace
These are high-tech dividend stocks to buy and hold. Investors should take advantage of their recent weakness in light of the Federal Reserve’s money supply tightening moves. Many of these companies will not see a dramatic downturn in their economic fortunes, at least according to analysts. That means unless the coming recession is severe, these tech companies may be able to weather the downturn fairly well. In any case, their stock valuations have already reset on expectations of a downturn, so this may be a good time to begin accumulating. The fact that these companies pay dividends — and have done so for many years — also helps buttress their prices. American companies are well known for maintaining their dividends even during rough economic times, even if that means the payout ratios increase. This is a unique advantage for U.S investors., as most foreign companies specifically tie their dividends to set payout ratios. 7 Long-Term Stocks to Buy for a Secure Retirement Let’s dive in and look at these high-tech dividend stocks.

6 Dividend Income Stocks With Better Yields Than the S&P 500  2022/06/23 17:29:22 InvestorPlace
These are six dividend income stocks with better yields than the S&P 500 . The S&P 500 has a dividend yield of approximately 1.60% from a practical standpoint. The reason this is so is that the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA: SPY ) trades for $374.64 as of June 23, and its training 12-month (TTM) dividend payment is $6.01 . That gives it a dividend yield of 1.60%. The Wall Street Journal reports that the actual index yield is 1.76% . But you cannot make that unless you buy an index fund like SPY or else own all 500 stocks separately. The recent SPY quarterly dividend payment was $1.58. That works out to $6.32 annually. But that is only if the quarterly dividends were all at the same level. That is not what happens with the SPY dividend. They vary each quarter. So the TTM dividend payment is the best way to measure the S&P 500 yield from a practical, comparable standpoint. Therefore, these six stocks have better yields than the S&P 500 as measured by the SPY ETF (i.e., 1.60%). They also have enough earnings to cover their dividends.
