A significant step forward for BHP's growth pipeline.
BHP's Board has approved an investment of approximately US$0.9 billion (100% basis) to progress the Ministers North Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia into execution.
Once fully ramped up, the project is expected to deliver 20 million tonnes of iron ore per year, supporting long-term growth and helping sustain production from our WA Iron Ore operations.
A satellite extension of our Yandi operation, Ministers North reinforces our commitment to Western Australia and the Pilbara, building on decades of partnership with Traditional Owners, operational excellence and collaboration across our business.
