In episode 2 of ‘From the Heart’ we’re introduced to Kausik Ray, Professor of Public Heath in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at Imperial College London Ray who talks about tackling CVD at scale, through a population health approach. As with all our participants Prof. Ray has also been affected by CVD, losing his grandmother to heart disease. Since witnessing many patients presenting at hospital with heart attacks, Prof. Ray passionately believes that the only way to tackle CVD is at scale, through a population health approach. To do this successfully he says that we must, “Work with others. Think big. Think long term.’’ From the Heart is a collection of life experiences told by those living with and those tackling the global reality of CVD.
