Harmony Australasia, part of Harmony’s South Africa based mining business, uses Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM to manage hiring, onboarding, HR administration, learning, goal setting, performance management, and self-service across its operations in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Before Oracle, the company relied on an in-house people system that had fallen behind, making information difficult to access and leaving mine managers with limited visibility into their teams. HR staff were stuck handling paper forms, emails, and spreadsheets for everyday tasks, while employees had no easy way to find answers or initiate requests on their own. After evaluating multiple vendors, Harmony Australasia chose Oracle because the suite offered an intuitive user interface and embedded workflows across core HR and related functions. Today, employees and managers can self-serve through the platform, recruiters spend far less time on paperwork, and the team has reduced paper forms by approximately 80 percent during hiring. The company also plans to extend its use of Oracle with HCM analytics and AI-enabled insights to get people information faster and support better decisions across the business.
