Great Eastern Life, one of Asia’s leading life insurance companies and the largest life insurer in Singapore and Malaysia, modernized its data platform with Oracle Autonomous Database on Exadata Cloud@Customer to support growing business demands and improve operational efficiency. By consolidating multiple on-premises data platforms onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the company modernized policy administration, financial reporting, rewards systems, and operational data stores while moving from batch synchronization to near real-time data. Oracle Autonomous Database automated routine database management tasks, reduced manual effort, improved data quality, and strengthened system reliability, scalability, and availability. Great Eastern Life also enhanced backup performance, accelerated month-end close processes, and supported its hybrid cloud strategy while meeting regulatory and data residency requirements. The company reports more than 10% revenue growth, 30% cost savings through Oracle’s cloud consumption model, 50% gains in operational efficiency, and improved customer experiences with responsive, highly available applications.
