Qualcomm Wireless Reach and Nexleaf Analytics came together to develop the StoveTrace program, which replaces traditional biomass-burning cookstoves with new, clean stoves that are equipped with heat sensors to rural communities. These connected stoves send data via local mobile networks and track CO2 and soot emissions in real time, ensuring that indoor air pollution decreases in homes while giving participants a financial incentive through carbon credits.
