This demo shows how an AI model can help ensure compliance with safety protocols in an industrial oil and gas setting by detecting whether workers are wearing required personal protective equipment, including safety helmets and safety vests. Running on an industrial gateway powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ9 processor and connected via a Snapdragon X35 5G Modem‑RF System, the solution uses computer vision at the edge to analyze visual data in real time. By processing data locally and transmitting insights securely from the field to centralized systems, the gateway enables real-time safety monitoring, improved visibility, and efficient data flow across industrial operations.
