Six months ago, Hurricane Helene ripped through he southeastern U.S., leaving historic devastation in areas like the mountains of North Carolina. As has often been the case, Walmart was there. In this episode of The Huddle, I’m joined by Walmart Private Fleet driver Julio Reyes, who, alongside 48 other drivers, set out in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene to deliver much needed aid and relief to those impacted by the storm. Julio reflects on what it means to be a Walmart driver in times like these and the experience of being there when help is needed most. Our ability to show up for communities in times of crisis makes us unique. We say we’re a people-led company because of associates like Julio – and I know it’s a determination we all share.
